My name is Nicanor Negru and I take care of the Regina Naturii from production to packaging. The time I spent working abroad helped me to better understand foreign markets, but also to bring improvements in the activity of beekeepers. All I want today is to bring natural honey from Moldova to the tables of as many people as possible - so that everyone has access to a healthy, natural product.

In 2014 I set up a business with 100 beehives. Nowadays, I have the most equipped and modern factory from the Republic of Moldova and we collaborate with all beekeepers from Moldova – from south to north.

All I want today is to bring natural honey from Moldova to the tables of as many people as possible – so that everyone to have access to a healthy product given by the nature.

2015 was a turning point. Having an increased potential of our own raw material, I focused on identifying the opportunities to export honey from the Republic of Moldova.

Thus, at the end of 2016, after months of documentation and preparation, we successfully made the first honey export to Romania and Poland.

We had an amazing performance, and our product met all the quality standards required by the European Union.

In 2018 I did a 180 degree turn. Then the construction of the biggest honey processing and packaging factory in the Republic of Moldova began.

I had several basic objectives:
- Production area of 2,000 m2;
- Processing capacity of 2,500 tons per year;
- Environmentally friendly construction:
- Use of eco friendly materials and modern equipment for the conservation of natural resources.

Plan completed right at the beginning of 2019.

We have signed export agreements with Germany, Italy, the Netherlands for bulk export. The geographical expansion was fully ensured by the production capacity of new factory.

10 types of honey in jar were launched under our own trademark – Regina Naturii™ and we opened the doors of the first specialised beekeeping store – the stage when we approached every family in Moldova.

All these taken together have improved the productivity and doubled the production capacity.

A new packaging, a new label and the launch of the online store. From 2020 we ensure with a single click the delivery of natural honey throughout the country

M E L O N Y A Raw Honey ™ - a premium trademark created exclusively for the foreign market. It has been appreciated with numerous awards at the international competition in Great Britain – London Honey Awards right from the first year of launch.

The appearance of new products required even bigger quantities of bottling. Thus, in order to cover the demand, we purchased high-performance equipment with a production capacity of about 6,000 - 10,000 jars per day.

With the installation of photovoltaic panels, the factory began to produce 100% renewable energy, which in parallel gave us the status of the only Eco-Friendly honey production in the country.

The Ecological certification of Regina Naturii honey carried out by the international control body - CERES Certification of Environmental Standards GmbH has historically raised the quality standard.

At that time, we set out to be everywhere, being the generators of a massive expansion in retail, so that Regina Naturii became indispensable on the shelves of supermarkets and small shops across the country.

The export of honey under Private Label to Malaysia, Great Britain and Romania turned us into a multi-national product.

Acacia honey awarded the “Superior Taste Awards” by the International Taste Institute in Brussels motivated us even more to continue our development.

Participation in the Anuga International Trade Fair in Cologne, Germany gave us the opportunity to proudly promote the work of local beekeepers, as well as the true taste of bee honey.

How do we
produce?
Quality control

Over the years we have implemented an efficient food safety management system - CERES Certification of Environmental Standards GmbH, FSSC 22000, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22000:2018. The quality of Regina Naturii products is rigorously verified in the accredited laboratories in the Republic of Moldova and the European Union - Quality Services International GmbH, Intertek Holding Deutschland GmbH, Food QS GmbH, FLORAMO CORPORATION SRL.
Only certified honey which meets all international quality standards is distributed to the consumer. We keep in our honey all the sweetness and aromas of nature. We use only those procedures that are necessary to ensure the top quality of the product.

Where it all begins

1
Welcome to the sweet kingdom of the bees, a small and picturesque country from Europe called Moldova. It is covered by dense forests, fertile soils and a mild climate, protected by the Black Sea and the Carpathian Mountains. The honey Regina Naturii has the taste of Codri (forests that grow in the hilly part of central Moldova) and rare plants included in the Red Book of Moldova. The taste of homemade honey from childhood and Moldovan traditions is sacredly preserved in every drop.

A mystery of nature

The bees are royal creatures. Neither the most brilliant researchers nor the most modern equipment can guess their perfection: how they ideally build each millimeter of their combs. There is no answer to this question. There is only the perfection of honey, an exclusively natural product like no other. We are delighted to be part of a true mystery of nature. We carefully collect honey to preserve all the nutritional qualities of the product in the best way. We bottle it and bring it to the tables of people from the country and abroad.

Balanced beekeeping

1
1
We practice what we call balanced beekeeping. We interfere as little as possible with bee families, providing them with a peaceful and natural environment for development. We collect honey only when the right time comes – when the honeycomb is full and has no storage space. This method ensures that our bees have enough honey to eat in the winter. It is a much more ethical way to extract honey because it keeps bee families healthy, and as a result we get the purest honey which is rich in nutrients.

Bottling and packaging

The product portfolio of Regina Naturii LLC covers 10 types of natural honey and over 130 product variations. We pack up the honey in glass jars of various volumes, dispensers, portioned casseroles of 20g and sachets of 12g – very practical for daily use. We guarantee the quality of our products using the safest and most modern processing, bottling and labeling equipment, with a large production capacity.

Crystallisation is a natural process

1
1
A key feature of Regina Naturii honey is that it crystallises uniformly and naturally. The crystallisation process is a very natural one due to its quantitative ratio of natural sugars in the composition, namely sucrose and fructose.
Crystallisation has no effect on honey other than changes in texture, density and colour. Crystallised honey is not a negative sign at all. Contrary, it is a result of its quality.

Regina Naturii is actively involved in social and cultural projects and is always on the initiative to be as close as possible to people. We support domestic beekeepers, from north to south, who receive optimal prices, additional bonus for joint projects, long-term supply and purchase contracts and pre-financing opportunities. Thus, together with them, we managed to raise the quality of the product and to certify it Bio worldwide. Through a fair trade, strong partnership and support, small beekeepers can invest in a sustainable future.

In the same way we are with our consumers, especially those who are in difficult conditions. We are actively involved in charity and provide support to those in need, including internationally. At the Just Giving Marathon in London I ran collecting almost £ 5,000 for children with disabilities. This is a tradition that we keep every year.

We are very aware of our responsibility to people and nature. That is why we wanted and invested so our factory is built complying with all European standards.
We are involved in a wide range of eco-initiatives. We operate our own solar energy system and cover our energy needs from installed photovoltaic panels. In this way we cover the need to cut at least 147 trees and we conserve over 90 tons of coal annually.
We also promote bee protection initiatives in the Republic of Moldova and environmentally and bee-friendly planting projects.
